Sir Charles Framlingham built much of the Crow’s Hall which we still admire today, back in the 1500s. His impressive tomb, featuring life-sized effigies is in St Mary Magdalene Church Debenham, Suffolk. He lies in his armour alongside his first wife, Dorothy.
The Framlingham family played a significant part in the history of Crow’s Hall, but there were many others who went before them – and followed after. Current day owner of Crow’s Hall, Caroline Spurrier, has discovered much about the property’s owners through the ages as well as her own unexpected family connections with this redbrick Suffolk secret.
