Can we visit the venue in advance with suppliers and our photographer?
Yes, of course. You have extensive access to the venue for supplier meetings. Do come along with your photographer to decide on photo-shoot locations. If you just wish for your photographer to pop along by prior arrangement to see the venue on their own, that’s fine too.
Do we get access to decorate?
Absolutely! You have the venue for a full 7 days around your wedding celebrations, so decorate away! Caroline – Crow’s Hall’s owner – will be delighted to help with any questions or ideas you may have.
In what way can we decorate the barn?
Crow’s Hall barn is like an empty film set for you to create exactly the atmosphere you want. You can introduce lighting, props, furniture and foliage or pretty much whatever it takes to make it perfect for you.
Admittedly, as Tudor barn, it does come with a few eccentricities as well as a handful of restrictions courtesy of its Grade II*listing. We’ll talk you through it all, but you’ll find that it is unrivalled in the opportunities it presents.
Can you suggest garland and prop suppliers to help with the decoration?
Yes, we’d be delighted. We have created a great list of suppliers over the years and we can point you in the right direction, or help you in your search so you can be sure to achieve your special, unique atmosphere.
Can we have real candles?
No, we are sorry that we do not allow these in the barn or elsewhere due to the historic nature of the site. We are pleased to discuss your lighting ideas and help find appropriately atmospheric solutions.
Is there a PA system or staging available?
Sorry, no. The acoustics in Crow’s Hall barn are however excellent and depending on the size and set up of your celebrations you may not require a PA system for speeches.
All PA systems and staging will need to be brought in for your celebrations, so you have exactly what you need, exactly right for where you’d like it to be.
Can music be played outside?
Yes. Arrangements can be made for outside sound systems and PA in the gardens and garden amphitheatre, or in your marquees in the paddocks.
Is there on-site parking
Yes, there is plenty of on-site parking on hard-standing immediately behind the Tudor barn for ease of access and close proximity. As appropriate, in the summer months, we can set up additional parking on grassed areas.
Is there access for coaches?
No trouble at all. Even double decker buses can drop off right by the hall or barn and have plenty of room to turn around.
Is the site wheelchair friendly?
The barn, gardens and grounds are all wheelchair accessible. Regrettably all guest accommodation in the Hall is on the first floor only, accessed only by an historic staircase.
There is a dedicated parking area for disabled drivers.
Is the site family-friendly?
Children are very welcome for celebrations at Crow’s Hall. Outside, there is plenty of green space for youngsters to run around, and many couples choose to dedicate paddock space to play areas or outdoor fun activities for all to enjoy.
Inside the barn, there’s space enough even to create a soft play corner, board games den or traditional games room and couples often create activity packs to keep the little ones amused at the table. We’re sure you’ll have loads of ideas – and we’d be delighted to share the ones which we’ve seen here over the years.
Please note: Crow’s Hall is an historic site with a deep, unfenced moat and is also a home and a working farm. We would ask that children be closely supervised at all times.
We’re sorry but we cannot accommodate children in guest rooms at Crow’s Hall due to the historic nature of the property.
